Connect Android To HI-FI system

August 5th, 2016

Hi, I have an old Hifi system with good speakers. I hate to see it go to waste so I’m trying to make use of it. I bought RCA 3.5mm to Jack cable but the problem I don’t have RCA ports in the system. And when I tried to connect only the speackers (w/o unit) the sound was really LOW and had no bass. These are some pictures: I hope they help you help me. Thanks

Say with my system you have both the default sound bar where you turn your volume up in general, most have a second prog such as Realtek HD Audio manager where you can specifically turn up things like base.. May or may not be your prob, but search for the second sound option and you should be able to set the correct settings to make the sound, sound good to you.. As well as turn the sound up even more to make it a high enough volume..

What are those connections??? Split the cables to the edges and put black into black, red into red. You push these switches at the sockets, stick the wire inside and then release and it sits into position. Now to the second part of your question, you want to playback from your android device and the sound to go to the hifi? That’s not possible since your hifi doesn’t have an audio input port as far as I can see.
Edit: You can connect the speakers directly using the item below, BUT you will most likely need an amplifier too.

I know what your trying to do… :–) By looking at the back of your stereo. and by that it seems that only one speaker was connected lol.
The stereo itself is unfortunetaly too old and has No Aux sound Input nor a video input for any sound input. rca jacks.
BUT.. What You Can Do. Is get an FM Transmitter that plugs into your android headphone jack and transmits an fm signal to a fm radio station on your hifi stereo. Then your stereo would play whatever the android is playing. and use the stereos wattage. and I’m pretty sure all androids and ipods have a headphonejack.. but of course.
Search Google for: android/ipod fm transmitter. Like $23 – $16 or less. or check ebay for maybe even a cheaper cost.
and there ya go.. fm transmitter is your only option for that good old home stereo that jams with no rca inputs.
and sure.. that fm transmitter will also work with any fm stereo.. like your car radio.
There ya go.. problem solved…

Here is one that would do the trick..

Make sure you get one that powers from USB, as some types need a car cigarette lighter socket to work.
