What would make the mouse cursor not work but only on one user account?

August 4th, 2016

I am using Windows 8 on my laptop and all of a sudden my cursor doesn’t move anymore, if I spam move it then it will move like 1cm across the screen and then freeze again. I just used my keyboard to switch to a different user account on this laptop and now the cursor is working fine, why would it not be working on one user account but not the other?
I’ve restarted loads of times and the cursor still won’t move on my main account.
This happened right after I installed the Sims 4 using Daemon Tools, I don’t know if that has anything to do with anything.

Quite difficult considering lol… Uninstall the software using the mouse and reinstall… Had the same prob recently… What would have taken me 5 mins with a mouse took me an hour just using a keyboard unless you have a spare mouse on hand…
Answer #2
The only thing I can think of is if some software is installed for ‘this user only’ and not for ‘all users’.

Try changing the batteries in the mouse, or charge it. Also check pointer settings in Control Panel.
