Need help with RUFUS

I downloaded RUFUS and am getting error messages when I try to make a bootable USB flash drive
These are the errors Internal error: Translated boot messages are too long or missing
and
Error: Undetermined error while formatting
I have tried two different flash drives, Sandisk Cruzer 4 gig and a PNY 8gig [/img]

The rufus guys say to run a bad blocks check then try again.

I tried Rufus and it didn’t work for me either.
So I downloaded Win2FlashPro090025 and it did what I wanted. I now have a bootable Windows 8.1 flash drive.
