VanDyke SecureCRT won’t get patched

Dear Experts
I have been facing this issue since a while although I have downloaded couple versions from different websites but I failed to activate the program.
I would assume it should be a straight forward process, because I have been using patch and keygen with heaps of other utilities.
The latest version of one VanDyke SecureCRT I downloaded from here.
Patched it first by using admin privilege –> Patched successfully , then generate a serial and paste it into the licence text box , but the program complains the serial is not matching with this version , generated another serial same issue., another one same issue.
Any special consideration I need to pay attention to it ? I am using windows 7 ultimate 64 bit

I encountered similar issues sometimes with various software..
It turned out when I copy and paste..
An extra space at the end of the serial was causing the problem..
Maybe not but worth checking..

Aware of this trick as it happened to me with other programs
But the not the case with SecureCRT
By the way I am disconnected from the internet when i patched and used keygen
