Can you hack a PSP 1000 6.60?

Long story short –
I can get my hands on a PSP 1000 6.60 OFW and im wondering if you can hack it. If so do you need a pandora battery? (i’m hoping no) Thanks

So you 100% definitely need a pandora battery? Im sure i seen a website which says that you dont need one but i cant find that website

You do not need a pandora battery. This is a way of putting a custom firmware your psp while still keeping the original firmware intact:
1). Make sue that you are on the latest OFW. (note: if not don’t worry just download it)
2). download CFW “6.60PRO-B9”

3). plug your PSP into the computer and navigate to H:\PSP\GAME
Note: “H” is what ever drive the PSP is represented as.
4). Place FastRecovery and PROUPDATE into the game folder.
5). In your PSP go to the game section and open your memory card, and load “PRO Update”, not Fast recovery.
6). Press X to launch install CFW.
7). Congratulations, you have just “hacked” your psp.
Note: Fast Recovery is for if you hard reset the PSP AKA turn it off completely or the battery runs out and you still want to run ISOS or Homebrew ect…

Now for games:
after you have downloaded the games (and put them together into one file). you will presumably want to play them on the psp:
1). in the main PSP folder (H:/) make a new folder called ISO
2). Put you ISOS into the the file and play them.
