solved-how to disable compabilitymode on win 10
August 7th, 2016
thanks in advance
PS: my windows version is the enterprise edition
If you are using an express or community version: replace the setup name to vs_ultimate and the extension as before. You may need to also edit the details tab by clicking properties on the right click menu. The compatibility of Microsoft products is run on a file name basis. By renaming the setup to vs_ultimate you make the system think that you are installing the ultimate version, that is, the version that has the better compatibility and so it will disable the compatibility mode.
By the way, express and community are crap. I suggest you to use Ultimate if you can.
If you are installing ultimate and have this issue, then try removing additional (),(1) in the names or try changing the name of the file you need to open to the one of a more recent version…

thanks man I will try this out
As I already stated, you need to rename the setup to vs_ultimate.exe This will disable the compatibility mode.
Good to see that on stack they know the solution too.
