Also wont buy another Razor, so any suggestions on similar good quality mouses??
Razor do seem to have a relatively short life span, been through a few myself. I switched to Asus ROG GX950 and have loved it (bought a spare as Amazon had them on offer a while back), 8200 dpi, adjustable weights. Straight forward quality mouse.
When you say it has died on you what do you mean ? It wont power on ? Or the movement is erratic ?
Because optical and laser mice are even more prone to inaccuracy because of dirt or hair in the recess where the led/laser is, It takes very little in there to make your mouse act drunk.
As for alternatives i swear by the G700s which has no compromises (up to 8200 dpi and 1000 reports per second) wireless and a cable for wired mode
One of the issues that no one want to deal with in the mouseie industry – the laser passing though the plastic and onto the sensor… CLOUDS the plastic.
All they need to do is put a little slip of glass in there and it’s fixed – but they won’t. some moron will throw his mouse and the glass will fly out and cut someone and the company will get sued… or it just costs too much, maybe…
More of a drunken mouse… Seems to be working better today though, but will look into your suggestions of new mice and buy a back up asap!
I like my current Corsair M65, only hiccup I’ve had was dust in the sensor area, one finger nail away and its fixed. Will never buy another Razor product, even Logitech is far more reliable.
Again playing up… and all your suggestions sux lol…
Having a mouse with multiple side buttons helps a heap with all sorts of gaming… The Nagga Hex would have been, and might still be my next choice, if I cant find a similar mouse which dont break as quickly…
Any one know of mouses similar to this? Not exact of course but more then 3 buttons, if you know what I mean… (Yes some of the examples have an extra button or two, but 6 you can easily press with your thumb is highly wanted in most games where you can set keys, so you dont have to use the whole keyboard with one hand…
The G700s has perfect button placement there are only 4 on the thumb side and 3 on the top beside the LMB, Its the only gaming mouse with “no compromises wireless” so its a no brainer.
