Looking for an overlay software

I’m looking for an overlay software that has has some basic stuff for my netbook.
I’m looking for stuff like a clock, sticky notes, things like that
Prefarably something that can have a simple shortcut
anyone know anything?
You can make Rainmeter do that, but its not a kids toy =(
