VPN recommendations for torrents/Hulu from UK

I’m in search of some recommendations as to what is the best VPN option for me. (Grammar fail, I know…).
I’m in the UK, on a very slow download line, so VPN speed isn’t a huge issue as I only download at about 220-250kb/s from torrents and RS/MU/etc. I’m after a bit more “protection” when getting stuff from torrents, as it seems quite hard to choose a single filehost to buy an account with nowadays. Torrents I find are easier to get the stuff I want from.
Primarily I’m after something to help me hide from the powers that be, I’m currently using PeerBlock but I just don’t trust that enough with torrents from TPB. I would like to be able to watch Hulu from within the UK too – having just built a new HTPC – but that’s a requirement which can be skipped.
So my question is, what would people recommend? I’ve looked at StrongVPN and IPREDATOR so far. StrongVPN seem to take quite a harsh stance on notices from the powers that be, though I would imagine every VPN provider says that for the legal parts.
Could anyone recommend a provider to me? Any reviews/personal experiences?
