Solution for 0xc000007b error when trying to start game?

June 1st, 2014

So i just downloaded Dead Island and when trying to start the game I get a error saying “The application was unable to start correctly (0xc000007b). Click OK to close application.
Before that It had issues finding “d3dx9_43”.-
So read online that it could jsut be downloaded and dumped into the system32 folder and in the game folder- (might be total crap- But it skipped that message and now just gives me the d3dx9_43)

haha well im sorry but have no clue as to how. Ive gotten a download that unpacked like 40 different DX rars on my desktop, but no idea how to update it.
EDIT: Figured it out, as you mentioned it was the direct x thing that messed it up- Thanks man.
