BR-Rips How do they really work

December 18th, 2013

Hey fellas..
Need your assistance in this..
I have a Panasonic Home Theatre system, which has a support for USB.
I prefer watching Movies by plugging it into the USB, rather than find a BR DVD.
What my problem here is that, mostly prints that i get online are mainly mp4’s or other high quality prints.
But the player that i got supports just the DivX (Avi) files on it to be played..
I was thinking of using a Converter Application to convert most of the BR-Rip movies i get from here into DivX compatible.
I have never tried doing such conversions. I would want to keep the quality of the movie the same. no loss in quality if its possible.
Could you guys suggest me the Application i should look for around here and yea, if im not asking too much, how should i go about Ripping it with no loss in quality.
Thanks again guys..

yw bud, that s the best converter i found. I m not sure are you going to be able to work with AVIs (because i used it only for mkv – mp4, but i think i can remember it had an avi option) so download it to check.
The process is easy, you add a file and then on the right chose a profile. Just like in the YT vid.

Maybe I am misunderstanding you caje143, but why not just download your films in xvid format instead of converting them yourself? There are loads of blu ray rips posted here.
Answer #6
Yes you are better off downloading the normal XviD movies because if you get good quality HD rips, you will have to convert them back to standard res XviD rips or your Panasonic won’t play them…
What you could consider is buying a stand alone media player that can play all that you throw at it in High Definition..Here’s one..
