How can i do this?
December 27th, 2013
So what im trying to do is disable the copy/paste function or find some other way to lock the files onto the flash drive while still being able to access/open them when i please.
Is this possible? I looked around on google but i didn’t find too much.

I found that link on wiki that explains a little bit bu i don’t see this being possible : /
Just use Truecrypt:
http://www.truecrypt.org/
Better use a container and not full encryption tho,Otherwise others might format it by mistake.
But why do other people even have free access to your flash drive? I don’t get it.
Short of encrypting your files there isn’t much can be done.
You could always grab a secure flash drive.
There are many password protected drives etc.

Side note: username implying sick person… wanting to have secret videos.
This topic is concerning lol
i dont want to technically lock them out i just want to find a way to disable the copy and paste option but ive been reading and i don’t think it can be done since hard-drives are meant to be written too.
Try WTM Copy Protection

Probably be able to get around it with DVD Region+CSS Free or similar software though.

Not possible,Besides,The music/movie industries have tried to implement copy protection many times thru the years,And it was bypassed
every time,Your not gonna do any better!
I still think there’s something wrong here,Normally a flash drive is like a tooth brush,Only the owner uses it,Why do others have free access to your flash drive? And more importantly,What’s the nature of those movies and why you wanna prevent em from being copied?

Indeed,Didn’t notice that before
What about using a linux sudo command to make it read only? Thats what a friend suggested bu yeah i don’t think its much possible.
LOL
You can make a file read only with any OS from it’s properties as well as remove this attribute,It prevents modification and
has nothing to do with copy prevention. You still haven’t answered my questions,Quite curious about this.

LOL, that’s so easy, just don’t give them the flash drive, and they cant copy it..!
What is your real question, what do you actually need help with?
