Iphone 4g help plz.

Hi all,
I hav a iphone 4g ( version:5.0 ( 9A334), model: MC605X, modem firmware:04.11.08 ), running itunes 10.5 & upgraded to the ios 5 OS software.
It seemed to install Np’s,but when i went to sync my music/photo’s/ringtones etc, itunes just quickly flashed saying cancelling sync, doesn’t display OK to disconnect after a normal sync is done.
What I’ve tried so far to get my iphone to work correctly:
Removed all apps/photo’s/ringtones etc, & then put them back on a few at a time, but nope didn’t work, was the same.
Changed usb ports, it seem to sync photos/ some music,but no ringtones or anything else.
I’m thinking maybe something buggered up in either the install of ios5, or maybe the downloaded ios5 from itunes may hav become corrupt, is this possible at all.
Would using restore & reinstall ios 5 correct the issues, or is a waiting game with apple to send out a update for ios 5 software.
Also my daughter has a iphone 3g & she would like to know if ios 5 could be installed on her iphone3g.
Any help with this would appreciated

first, there is no such thing as an iphone 4g.
I would restore and try again unless woot says otherwise
and there is no ios5 for iphone 3g
