I am in a dorm at school and managed to get Xbox LIVE working on our wired network but the NAT type is closed. I know how to change my NAT type at home with access to the router but here at school I don’t know what I could do. Any ideas? Maybe get my own router using that connection and change those settings? Or as am I just hopeless? hah

talk to the ip department and see if they can do anything for you, but most likely your gona have to live with it a second router wont help as its the nat type of the main connection to your room thats the issue.
