Which is more vital for the speed of a phone?

May 28th, 2018

Hi
I am looking at various android phones right now.
The Asus Zenfone 6 is dual core clocked at 2GHz
Whereas there’s some other phones (quad, octa cores etc) with lower clock speed at 1.7GHz etc
So which do I pick? The one with more cores or higher speed?
Thanks!

I believe faster clock speed is more important because not many games and apps use the full number of cores. However, it highly depends on the phone software. For example : The Moto X is a dual cored phone. However, It’s much faster than the International S3 which is a quad core phone. All in all, I believe you should go with the faster clock speed.

I think it is more dependent on your uses rather than just a clear cut answer
If you want to maximize your multitasking potential on your phone, the quad core would certainly be a better choice. I don’t think the trade off of a measly .3Ghz is worth losing two cores.
