Which DAW?

September 27th, 2013

Hello,
I want to ask simple question (I’ll give guidelines for you to help me). Which DAW (music production software) would be best, considering:
– that it doesn’t rely on recording or playing some instrument (synth, guitar, bla, bla), bacasue I can’t sing, play or use any possible instrument.
– that it has mainly simple interface (not ones with mathematic formulas and graphs (sinus & cosinus) to play with for creating sound)
– that it has many VIRTUAL instruments, not relying on REAL instruments and recording of those
– that it can be run on dual core processor (2.0 GHz) on notebook
——————————————————————————————-
I have Magix Music Maker MX, but I need just a little bit more. And again NO MIDI or RECORDING. If I want to play instrument, let it be virtualy (VST). And let it be as simple as possible. Again I do not know how to play any instrument. Nor am I going to learn one. Ohhh… and it would be nice if trance (simple trance) could be produced easily in it. Not like some damn guitar DAW-s. So as much virtual synthesizers and built in tones, sounds, effects. I do not wat a plain sheet where you have to record every piece of ~love~.
Thanks for recommendation.

Answer #1
Fruity Loops aka FL Studio.
It is the easiest to get started with and there are tons of tutorials out there.
Reason
Very good tool as well, but a bit less beginner-friendly.

Ableton Live is the one I use,
I like it because it’s much better to use in a live scenario.
You can find ‘Sonic Academy’ tutorials for Ableton Live, everywhere, including on Youtube
