Which CPU is better for gaming?

Hi there,
I am just wondering which of the two CPUs would be better for gaming.
* AMD Athlon64 X2 6000+ (3.0GHz) 2MB Cache – Dual Core
OR
* AMD Phenom 8750 (2.4GHz) 3.5MB Cache – Triple Core
I won’t be doing extreme gaming, just the odd game like BF2, CS: S and Team Fortress 2… Etc

First one would be better… but why don’t you get Intel

I don’t want quad core because they are too expensive… and I don’t want intel because my motherboard only takes AMD CPUs
