VOB trimming -help please

I have a few sofware packages that say they can trim VOB files I have not been succesful doing this ,,, not sure why..Anyone able to trim a vob and can describe how..

VOB file which are the DVD movies/videos i think ? did you follow a tutorial or yourself , at which step you have failed i mean the software ran and showed progress or it didn’t identified it or what ?

so which app did you try so far?
not so hard if you can work the app, but perhaps some are not the same.
however, why do you have vob files, which are movie files anyway? you can get the same without the fuss…

I have wondershare video Editor..vobcutter and of course VLC
I have thought several times that I had succeeded in triming a vob video only to fin 0 bytes..lol
I state the place to start…then the place to end..then save or export whatever the instruction is to save..
I can easily do this to MKV and Avi etc.. not sure what I am doing wrong

I can easily do this to MKVThen change the file extension from vob to mkv. It’s just a container.

Boilsoft Video splitter or cutter…

You can use the splitter and put one marker at the start of the part you want and the other marker at the end of the bit you want.
Then you will get a file with everything that is between the markers.
Then click on split and select the first option…Then it lets you select the folder where you want to put it..
I just tried it, dead easy, took 1 minute to do a full size VOB.

Didn’t say anything about changing containers. I said file extension. Delete V O B and type M K V.
