How to open USB without formating? Because i have essential documents on USB?

Use file scavenger (data recovery app) get it from the apps section and do a long scan.
Pick no when asked if to search for deleted files (as it’s a filesystem corruption)
Odds are it’d find your files.

I have been given that error msg when the thumdrive was formatted with an unrecognized file structure. The data on the drive was itself ok. If you had been using it on some other computer then try going back to it again.

Try changing the USB format to NTFS

you have to try to format it with windows xp setup

You’re going to have to use a file recovery program like Roberto suggested. You could also try a Linux LiveCD.

I second this.. try a linux live cd or may be Ubuntu
