Unlock Telstra Iphone 3GS

Hi guys i won a Brand New Iphone 3gs 16gb Locked to Telstra network (Australia) is there any way to unlock it so i can use it with any carrier through jailbreaking it? or will i have to pay to get it unlocked

blackra1n will unlock it also, but it’s good to always have a few different options. I haven’t used yellowsnow, I’ll have to check it out. Now you have 2 good options .

duuude yellowsn0w unlocks the CARRIER (telstra, optus, AT&T, Orange, Tmobile) it is not a software unlock
if your phone is locked onto telstra (or whatever) and you want to use a vodaphone sim card in it and use that number, it will allow you to do that
for the jailbreak you will need blackra1n or something else

no it doesnt, it is like installing windows on a macintosh, it is software not hardware

you dont need a sim card i dont think
ok im gonna eexplain this as dumbly as possible,
yellowsn0w will unlock your phone so that you can use a vodaphone sim card in your iphone
but to use yellowsn0w you need to have hacked your iphone and have cydia
you get yellowsn0w through cydia
i will give you a link of how to download yellowsn0w through cydia
if you need to know how to jailbreak your iphone then go onto youtube and search, “jailbreak iphone 3GS” and then follow the video
