University Blocks Torrents

So I just moved to a university but the university network blocks p2p
I need a way or method or anything that could help me get past the block.

king37 I heard lots ppl got kicked out university/college/school for downloadin
it’s not worth it. Wait till u get on ur home connection and u can do wat ever u want

I’m sure network administrators will monitor traffic from time to time and your user id would stick out like a sore thumb if they saw you user area had for example 10gb of data in it and say 5gb of traffic every week, when the average is probably 500mb for browsing the net etc
I would say leave it til you get home, especially as you are wanted to get copyrighted stuff… The school could take it further if you get caught.

would a VPN work? Would it encrypt the traffic while freeing the ports?
