NEED HELP | Toshiba Satellite C660-26H laptop WONT TURN ON
-it powers on
-it recently had the lcd screen replaced
-hear the hdd, dvd player, fans, all lights turn on.

Answer #1
can you get into bios ? maybe the boot sequence has been meddled with.
Answer #2
If the boot up seems to proceed as usual (no strange blinking LEDs, etc) then it might be your display gone bad particularly since you mentioned that it had recently been replaced. Try connecting an external display to the laptop to confirm this
Answer #3
the screen stays black and laptop runs as normal (if ya understand)
tried this and no joy no signal just the “no input signal” comes up.
Answer #4
Is the screen connected properly? Is everything put in nice and snug? Make sure all of the wiring is in place. If not, my friend it may be your graphics card. I don’t know if your Toshiba can have its graphics card replaced or not, I know its possible on some models, but very risky. Also, love your username, was a huge fan of the series. I wish you luck man, I hope you are able to fix this. Check the wiring, check to make sure all of your components are properly in place, and by that I mean RAM, HD, all that, and if all else fails, my bet is the graphics card.

Answer #8
laptop is offically dead.
Are you sure about that?
Tried resetting the BIOS? Connect it to an External Monitor/TV (And press the correct key-combo to switch the display)? How bout trying new RAM (or each stick standalone if there’s two of em)? Also, A common misconception with faulty electronics is that if it powers up there’s nothing wrong with the power source, This isn’t always the case however. You should test the power supply (AKA charger) with a digital multimeter to make sure it outputs the voltage claimed on the sticker, Refer to this guide:
http://learn.adafruit.com/multimeters/voltage
If you haven’t done any of that, Then you can’t be 100% certain that the motherboard is to blame.

Check that the LCD cable is connected properly – you’ll have to remove the screen bezel.

If you’ve confirmed this to be true, go ahead and replace the motherboard. A service center should be able to do this for you fairly easily
Answer #11
title is somewhat misleading–you said it powers on but the topic says it doesn’t turn on.
Anyways like everyone else here that pointed it out…if you can hear the windows start up sound and everything turns on fine inc. keyboard lights, fans etc… then it might be loose wiring of LCD screen since it recently got replaced right? Good luck I also have a toshiba laptop as well.
