Sony Vegas Pro save video original format without rendering?

When I make an edit like a vrop or a slice to a video, I am forced to render it to a format. Is there a way to just save the video in its original format with the edits?

ive never had that problem before i just usually save the .veg file and when i slice or crop nothing happens i just render it myself
or do you mean when you go to the Pan/crop thing you change the size and when you render it and changes the format and stuff?
if thats it then youll have to mix up the settings if i were you i would mess around with it cuz i did that and i got good at it
