[SOLVED]virus removed from usb but i can’t open the drive

NOD32 removed a virus found in USB but i cant open the drive in double click it shows me an error msg.i can only open it in right click ->explore
they told me the only way is to format
any other solution?cz on my external HD[120GB] the same problem and i dont want to format.

Back your stuff up to another harddisk and delete the original one

I’m a bit confused here, so the problem is that you can’t open your external harddrive with a double click. But you can open it by rightclicking — > Explore. So you can acces the the data right?
(Try making a shortcut)

try to get into safemode. first reboot, press F8 after the reboot, and choose safemode. try to backup your files and reformat it or try the adware-remover and bitdefender i dont have any problem after i used both apps.

sorry for diggin’ this topic up but i some queries about this kind of virus…my sister had an infected USB inserted in my PC’s USB drive and i had an “alert” from NOD32 that the virus was removed…i don’t use USBs but i do use a cellphone and a mp3 player which i connect using my USB drive. how do i remove the autorun.inf without using a USB? another question is, i have four USB slots, if one drive is infected, are the other three safe or are all of them infected? thanks in advance…
