[SOLVED]Skyrim bug ?

i am doing the Mission where you need to find Esbern in the ratways, but when I reach his door and activate it I can’t hear Esbern talk and the subtitles dissapear in like 2 seconds, then when he says he will open the door I hear it being unlocked but then can’t open it. I have tried everything, including the TCL console command, but cant get Esbern to talk to me again to finish the quest. Any suggestions as to what I can do?

After you talk to him and the door doesn’t open, just go out into the previous room (Where it has to load), then re-enter and the door should be open. Esbern’s audio is glitched, just

and make sure that the directory leads up to \Data\sound\voice\skyrim.esm\maleuniqueesbern

Yea..I had too…Just go around and exit trough a door that does autosave and give it a bit of time..come back..He eventually will open the door..
And even after that you will have a hard time getting him out of that prison cell..Again..Just do the same as above and talk to him..He will follow you in the end..
