solved _ Work laptop
August 6th, 2016
recently started a new job where the IT chap is a combination of arrogant and useless
I have been entrusted with a Toshiba laptop running Win 8.1 ( )
It is also supposed to have Office 2007 which is vital to my job
laptop has been back to office on 3 – 4 occaisions
—-operating system is finally activated but office is still absent!
How best do I obtain, install and activate Office 2007??????????
………………………Please!!!!!
You can always download a copy of office from here..Normally the download include Activation…
But I wouldn’t recommend it..Not worth losing your job over..

I agree with on this ……….. if it’s a works machine, they install the software. Personally, I’d shove it under ‘useless and arrogant’s’ nose and tell him Office 2007 (or Office 2010) is essential for your work so kindly install it ASAP or the company will suffer. Alternatively you could install Open Office which is freeware and just as good as MS Office ……. On a company computer, always ask someone first before you install anything just so you are in the clear if anything goes wrong.
Unfortunately I have come to the conclusion that your suggestion will NEVER happen
………..I am treating this as an initiative test
……….the office has several machines with “non-activated” copies of windows
I am confident that a version of Office “outside” of normality will NOT result in dismissal……
however the installed “trial of Office 365” is due to run out in 2 days – at this point in time I cannot work……….
so………..
I have used “search” and am very confused (I am over 50)
can someone “talk” me through the best and easiest process please
KMSpico will activate Windows 8.1 and Office 2010/2013 …. It keeps them on a permanent 180 day trial but shows as activated.
You can also try a couple of new activators that came out in the last couple of days ……… KMSActivatorUltimate22 & KMSAutoNet128.

If you haven't used this site before please note the .rar password on every listing (it's the same for every listing)
Why not just get Open Office. It’s free, legal and works much like MS Office.

Download office 2007 from here. There are clear instructions for you to install and activate

Then stop working. What does your boss say about this? My boss would come unglued if the IT department’s incompetence was preventing me from doing my job.
Its the company’s computer, and its the company’s problem. Putting on a company computer is stupid. Its not that you shouldn’t, you shouldn’t have to!
double post. delete
Don’t try to “fix it” yourself by putting there, complain to the IT boss, tell your own boss how they are not giving you the tools you need to work. Someone needs to get kicked in the ass and get doing something. That’s just not right.
What country are you in? And is it a large company or just a few guys?
As a network administrator, I would STRONGLY recommend against installing Office yourself, especially a pirated version. Some IT folks will gladly report you to your boss for installing stuff like that as they can be held liable for pirated software on the network. If he’s not doing his job, go over his head to make something happen. You have to remember that if it’s a work laptop, it’s not your property. While it may affect your job not having the tools you need, it’s not worth losing your job over.
Thanks for all the reply`s folks………….
I copied in the “big boss” (who was also frustrated)
…………..a rather “sheepish” IT department have now woken up
……………..cant really say anything else for obvious reasons
Thanks again – this place is still the best!!!!!!!!!!!
