slow internet hmm

This morning my internet is really slow like dial-up. Funny thing is I have Comcast with Speed Booster. I called them up the lady said something is wrong with the modem or the tower outside. She booked me a tech guy to come over my house to try to fix it. All my programs and Vista are pretty much bootleg you think I should format my computer before the tech guy arrive? haha.

just don’t let the tech access your computer, he should have bring a laptop to check your modem.

If your internet is really slow , sometime rebooting the modem might work or cleaning your temporary internet file.
As for the tech guys , back in the years when they install my internet , a guy was here in my computer room with me , I had like dozen of copied cd and he simply ask me to go to a website to test the download (the webpage of my provider) and I had all bunch of stuff on my desktop like many game and stuff.. I don’t think the guy really care he probably download himself … is job is to plug and see if it work . Otherwise you are really not lucky if he start to investigate on you while he check your modem.

just stay in the room so he cant nose around and you could move all the desk top short cuts to a new folder on the desk top till he has departed then move them back

yeah they should not be touching your computer, they should have their own gear. To tell you the turth they want to look with their tools because if their tools say the interent is working fine, they dont care about your computer and will telly you to call a computer tech to come and fix your computer.
