SDHC Reader

Is there a piece of software that you can load onto your computer, and it lets your standard SD card slot able to read SDHC?

No, the hardware has to be compatible with that technology, if you have a Standard SD Reader and you insert a SDHC [High Capacity] the Reader dont read it. A Multi-slot Card Reader that reads SDHC cards is not expensive.
