SCUMMVM users please help

December 8th, 2013

Hi
I’m trying to paly SCUMMVM games on my netbook.
as they are low on resource use.
BUT
I cant get a reasonably big screen display.
Full screen gives me black bars above and beloew, and to left and right of the playing area.
2x give the same size, but windowed..
3x makes it too big.
anyone please know how to configure the screen to get a full screen, or at least proper bigger view?
Ive noticed this is an issue with netbooks,
some software cant even be used on them, because some of the options cannot be seen due to lack of screen space.
its pretty much a bug i’d say..
with no easy fix.

I wouldn’t even bother to try installing a game on my netbook (Samsung NC10) as it is only 1280 x 600. I can change it using a Samsung utility to 1280 x 768 though (Easy Resolution Manager) – maybe yours has similar ?
I wouldn’t say it’s a bug – it’s the entire design. You should have bought a sub-notebook if you wanted better screen res with small form.

this worked for me:
Right-clik on the desktop.
If there’s a section of the right click menu called Graphics Options go into it.
If there’s a menu in there called ‘panel fit’ you’re in luck. Go into it and select ‘Maintain Aspect Ratio’.
