Repair Hairline Scratch On Digital Flat Panel LCD Monitor

August 5th, 2016

There is a hairline scratch on my Digital Flat Pa LCD Monitor. Can anyone recommend a safe way to make it less noticeable? I read about some ways to do it but I don’t know if they are safe. I don’t want to damage the monitor completely so it doesn’t work.
Pencil Eraser Method
Rubbing Alcohol Method
Vaseline Method
Scratch Repair Kits: Scratch Pro
Novus Plastic Polish
Displex Scratch Remover For Classic Displays
Novus Plastic Polish And Scratch Remover
Thank You in advance.

^^ Never use Vaseline, or any other petroleum product on plastic or rubber!!. did you ever put gasoline in a Styrofoam cup?? Vaseline will take much longer to melt the plastic, since it’s not very aromatic, but it will eventually.. you CAN use Silicone or Teflon Grease, used to lubricate o-rings on pools, or faucets, to fill in the scratches, that of course is temporary, since it can wipe off, but last a good while.. as far as polishes, they work, but computer monitors have an anti glare finish, like a rough texture, and if it’s polished out, you’ll notice it..
