QuickBooks 2008 Issue

August 8th, 2016

I’ve been hired on in the wake of a particularly pissy secretary leaving the company I work for. She refuses to give any of the passwords up for the various programs protected on the computer, and my boss is having a meltdown. I managed to get pass the admin login for the Vista OS, but I don’t know where to begin on his Outlook 2008 files. Intuit will fix it for him, but that would require updating and shelling out $199, which he is unwilling to do. Can anyone help or point me in the right direction or anything? Thanks.
Answer #1
Your subject says Quickbooks, your message says outlook and then Intuit. I’m assuming you mean QB. If so, you can simply use Passware to remove/change the passwords. I know from experience that 2008 is supported.
Answer #2
Moved from Programming to Helpdesk.
Answer #3
As said above, You could give Passware Kit a try:

If it doesn’t do the trick, Try the more direct approach!
What I mean is, Those passwords were used to protect company data (And not personal)
making it illegal for her to withhold that information from the employer! So make sure
your boss knows that and passes on the message.
