PS3 Jailbreak Help?

Apologies if there is a thread on this already but I am having trouble locating a step by step guide.
I want to jailbreak my ps3 but I don’t really know where to start!!!
I have a slimline ps3 and I have an iPod touch (I think you can jailbreak the ps3 using an iPod touch???)
I would be so grateful if anybody could post up a step by step guide of what I need to do. I have no problem looking for what I need myself, I would just be happy if anybody could point me in the right direction!!!
Also, if I want to burn the games onto a disc do I need to burn them onto blu-ray discs or will regular dvd discs work?

nah those are fake Chinese clones, and a the second bunch they shipped out only have a PIC chip which may or may not be updateable. It you want somthing that will last and made by people we know and trust get the Maximus/Minimus AVR made by the Team eXcuter for all the excellent tools they have provided for the xbox. Plus they have a large shippment of AMTEL chips, yes eventhough that is a clone of the original PSJailbreak i would rather trust them then some fake Chinese reseller and a few clones are just utter ~love~.
There is a ipod touch port but I think its only for the first gen.

I have done the jailbreak with my nexus one and it worked great
I also bought PS3Break Jailbreak USB Drive it came in a few days ago It was a little pricey but it was one of only once that was in stock and it works great. Now there out of stock :/

have a slimline ps3 320gb hard drive am looking for the chips in ireland and can’t seem to find any and were to i get the files u need to put on a usb

I wouldn’t like using this if there is a good chance of getting banned from online with the ps3.
