which call of duty do you want to lan?
call of duty 4 but I dont have an Internet Connection is that possible?
thanks again for the reply!
Answer #5
It is possible if you all connect to the same switch and change all your IP address’ to match the subnet and workgroup.
e.g 1st computer would have a ip address of 192.168.1.1, 2nd would have 192.168.1.2 etc. but again all PC’s would have to be connected
to the same switch so you would all have to be in the same room/house with some long cables.

Thanks for ideas mate but which cables used to connect to the switch straight-through or crossover?
Answer #7
I’d imagine straight through if everything is going through the Router. You should only need crossover if you are connecting 1 PC to another.
Answer #8
easiest is a router with 5 ports.. use straight cables and plug and play..
why router? –> dhcp server…

what is the purpose of dhcp server? By the way I don’t have an Internet Connections is that possible?
Answer #10
yes it is possible
a dhcp server is a service that runs on the router to delegate ip adresses to all connected pc’s automaticaly
DHCP = Dynamic Host Configuration Protocol
You won’t need to configure all pc’s connected in the network. they will get the configuration of the router..
