PotPlayer will not or can not open this movie up

I’ve dloaded this certain movie 4 times now BUT my updated player which is PotPlayer will not or can not open this up…..the movie file is: WBB.Bait15.720WEBDL it is a mkv, however, I’ve opened many of these files before. Can anyone give me advice…please.

try another media player like VLC, GOM etc or tell your problem more specifically what error you found ?

the player stopped as it was receiving the movie’s data…using another player is not an option..

sorry m8 but I’m old school..it’s a way of keeping one’s brain active …your solution is way to easy, any child would do just that but there must be a way to correct this so it will never happen again. Thanks for your input just the same.

i just tryed the link and can get movie to play in vlc but no sound converted it to mp4 and playes in every thing but still no sound may just be a curupt file and every one has the same one lots of ppl share the same file and dont try them first so like 32,5 says might be best looking for diferens one

most likely it is corrupt and as already mentioned, people just remote upload the same corrupt file
it does not pay to be so fixed to any player as you are doing because trying different media players would help to eliminate a media player and/or codec issue
mediaplayer classic/media player home cinerma show which collection of codecs/splitters it is using to decode the file. you could then force a different codec/splitter in order to eliminate different causes. if nothing will open it then it is almost certain to be corrupt. that is not uncommon

Bad file..
Pot player…Won’t play but can view still pics along the time bar at the bottom.
VLC…Will play but with no sound.
