playstation 3 help

i have just got a playstation 3 but i have not got a HD TV. the playstation screen wont show up on my TV, i have had this problem before and needed to take it to the store to get it set to non-HD output.. how do i sort this out myself?

You using the AV cables, and not component?

just go to like gamestop and get one of those all in one multi plug things for component av cables
