Pair a 6770 with 5400k A6 APU?

August 7th, 2016

Putting together a computer for my mum and i’m using a new 5400k A6 3.6GHz APU and i was wondering if it was worth putting my old 6770 into the computer for the APU’s ‘dual graphics’?

Would probably be worth a try.
Have a look here, especially the first hit..

I’ve looked at the charts and other things Google provided, but they mention 6000 series cards below the 6770. I’m mostly wondering if it would still be dual graphics or if the card, which is most definitely not a discrete class, or if it would override the GPU in the APU.
Also, sending me a google page? That’s cold man. XD

Why not?
It just switches from the APU to the GPU when it is needed, and switches back to the APU during low usage times like when it is idle (as it saves power).
