Need help with hotix windows 7 (cpu too high)

Hi guys how are you doing.
I have been having trouble with my home studio (my usb sound card)
then i saw someone posting a solution:
Update, checkout this hotfix from Microsoft ( after deciding whether it applies to you )…The CPU spikes could be causing that “cylon” effect.
(indeed my cpu is at 99% ALL THE TIME, unless i unplug my usb interface)

I chose windows 7 86x but when i download it, it says it is not for my system :s.
(I dunno if this is related, i have not been able to install service pack 1 through windows update. I got windows 7 from the apps section here.)
Any help please?

tried repairing your OS with a w7 disk ?

u can uninstall that hotfix from add remove programs in control panel
