Okay, this is kinda weird but two-days ago most of my applications started popping up a message that says a sound card is not installed on my pc. It is my old pc but not that old i bought it last year. I can hear game, music, movies and all other sounds but those applications still pop out the same message, Pls Help.
Solutions i've tried:

Updating Computer
Using other applications
Customer care
Changing sound device And a lot more.
My new computer is okay but i need help with this one.
Thanx

Are you sure the update will have effect on a device that is not installed?

yes, when you update it installs a fresh set of components unless one of the components is already installed and the version number hasnt changed. if you uninstall the device, it will clean out the old drivers, rebooting cleans the driver cache, the updating will replace the damaged component
