Me and my weird PC

usb keyboard and mouse support enabled in bios ?
PC boots normally otherwise, and you can turn it off using the power button ?
Also the red little light right under power on button with blue light keep staying on,it doesn't blink at all.
it used to flicker ?
that’s the HDD activity light most likely
Last time I was here you guys managed to help me out so here I am again with new issue. When I turn on my pc keyboard axe muse doesn't work. They are both connected via usb and they also happen to be the only usb devices connected. Also the red little light right under power on button with blue light keep staying on,it doesn't blink at all.I tried pulling out motherboard battery and putting default bios settings. Also tried safe mode, nothing worked so I hope you guys will have some solution for me.[/code]
Why did you reset the BIOS using the battery?
Does the keyboard work before booting into Windows? Can you use it to enter setup during boot? (usually del at your BIOS logo)
usb keyboard and mouse support enabled in bios ?
Yes
You’re gonna have to be much more specific about this!
Are you able to enter the BIOS?
Does windows load at all? And if so, Does it load completely? (As in shows the desktop and stuff)
Of what brand is your HDD?
Also, You do know that you have to disconnect the power cord before removing the battery, Right?
If you didn’t do this, Then it didn’t reset anything!
Yeah Windows loads just fine,I can use keyboard before it loads and yeah I can access bios. And yeah I did remove power cords before resetting
So you’re saying that your mouse/keyboard don’t work in Windows then? Do clarify.
What version of Windows are you using exactly?
Do you have any spare PS2 mouse/keyboard to try?
Also, What about an answer to that HDD brand question^?
As have previously pointed out, red light = HDD activity indicator.
If it’s on all the time, It may mean there’s a problem with it (Or that you have a major spyware infection)
Wow somehow I managed to get old ps2 keyboard working and I entered device manager and saw there like million unknown device signs.Must be virus or something. What should I do?Still can’t use mouse and cant even open Google now. Tried updating driver but instantly shows that it can’t find any
Provide a screenshot from device manager, It might help me understand the situation better!
Also, Give system restore a go, It just might fix it.
Hard to do it from cellphone but well try to see screenshot here.http://db.tt/KqsMTaZS
Did avg and malwarebytes scan, cleaned all but still same.Something is preventing drivers to work
I’d say it’s time for a reinstall!
You should backup your data first. And if the HDD led problem remains, Better have it tested with the brand’s diagnostic tool.

I can’t back up data when I can’t use any usb device bro:-/

Do you have network connectivity in networking with safe mode with networking?
Do you have another computer to connect a USB HDD and set up a network share? http://www.ehow.com/how_6874789_share-hard-drive-over-network.html
you could either backup to that drive, or put the drivers on the drive and pull them from the broken PC.
Use minixp from hiren’s boot cd:
http://www.hirensbootcd.org/download/
Burn it to a disc with imgburn (using the “write image file to disc” option):
http://imgburn.com/index.php?act=download
or if you wanna use a flash drive instead, Use this tool:
http://www.pendrivelinux.com/universal-usb-installer-easy-as-1-2-3/
Clearly, You’re gonna have to adjust the boot order accordingly from BIOS.
Also, If you wanna make sure minixp will be able to detect your HDD, Set the SATA controller
to operate in IDE/Compatibility mode.
Ok i did reinstall Windows and mouse and keyboard are working but still whichever device i connect it wont recognise it or find drivers like it should automatically.Even Ethernet drivers didnt work once windows booted for the first time.I had no connection lol….

Glad to hear!

You don’t do reinstalls often, Do you?
You have to manually install the necessary drivers! While Windows itself does have built-in driver support for many different devices (Which get’s better with each version) it does not (And never will) have 100% support for all of em. You should never put too much faith in the OS driver support. Always have em prep’d in advance! And just for the record, While most devices do require drivers, For storage devices, None are needed as it’s universal (By storage devices I mean things like flash drives/external hdds/mp3 players/modern phones) those should be recognized without a problem.
Ok i fixed all thanks to you.For the end tell me which AV is best to install?

Comodo Internet Security is a good all-in-one suite.
ZoneAlarm Antivirus + Firewall free (or whatever order they put the words in) is nice too.
Comodo (FW)+Antivir (AV) is what I recommend.
Do note that the free version of antivir displays a popup nag after each update, But you can easily disable that (Just Google it) Set that aside, Do keep in mind that no AV provides 100% protection, And while some FWs are better than others, It all comes down to making smart decisions! If you download apps/games from public torrent trackers, Or from topics that have no replies, You are putting yourself
at a much higher risk! Also, Every once in a while your FW will prompt you on which action to take when a new app tries to obtain online access or run X process etc, Make sure you take your time and really think it thru before taking action! If you’re gonna be impulsive and automatically give access to anything that wants it, Using a FW will be useless. To sum it up, Common sense plays a big role in computer security, Security apps alone don’t cut it.
