I got a MSN-SLI MotherBoard
I have a 9400 GT 1 GB DDR2 Video Card and a 8600 GT 256MB DDR3 Video card you think I can hook them both up at the sametime on the same board i have 2 PCI-E slots Im not really using the 8600 GT i put it back in the box because my boss got me the 9400 GT so im just curious would it better to just have 1 video card or should I hook them both up

Answer #1
I think for both cards to work in SLI mode they need to be the same model…
Answer #2
Yeah I just read about that the chipset has to be the same I really have no use for 2 video cards anyways the 9400 GT has 2 DVI Heads on it which runs to monitors so having 2 video cards would be useless ROFL
Answer #3
Yea…I tried that long time ago…With identical cards…I didn’t see much difference in performance…Just a lot of power consumption…So I gave up on the idea…
