In NEED of the right software and/or tricks…

August 2nd, 2016

Hi guys,
I’m in need of tricks and software so I can check if the laptop I’m working with is the same as the one showing on the sticker below.
I tried DXDIAG and it show the system model, but not the specific type of laptop. PM me for more details…
You would really help me out with this one.
Please give me some advice!

Answer #1
Use “Everest” by Lavalys. It should show you everything you’ll ever need to know.
Answer #2
Start -> run -> “msinfo32” you’re welcome.
Answer #3
I second Everest, it’s discontinued, but you can still find it
Answer #4
Just used Belarc which did not gave me all the information. Trying the ones you showed me right now.
MSINFO32 gave me the same information as DXDIAG
It shows me the system model, but not the specific type.
For example model A number 1 and model A number 2: number 2 has a higher CPU. So in this case I want to check out if they messed up with the CPU of the laptop: model A number 1 and switched the CPU?
(Trying Everest now)

You could just use CPU-Z:
http://www.cpuid.com/softwares/cpu-z.html
I second Everest, it's discontinued
That’s incorrect actually!
It switched ownership in 2010 to another company and was renamed.
It’s now known as AIDA64, And it’s very much alive and kicking!

Hey, just tried AIDA64. I’m afraid the only thing that all the software is showing is the model and not the specific type.

Try GPU-Z/CPU-Z/PCI-Z …….. all freeware, and see what info you can get from them in addition to AIDA64.

Allright, just tried two of them; neither did gave usefull information (to me). Trying CPU-Z and HD-Tune at the moment…

Honestly, I have no idea what is it you’re after!
CPU-Z can show you the CPU/Motherboard/Video card model, As well as amount of RAM.
Isn’t that enough? And why you would need to purchase any kind of parts for it? Your post just doesn’t make much sense to me.

I’m not quite sure what you are after either, but I prefer Sandra to AIDA64
