How to split a rar/zip file into smaller rar or zip files using winrar?

What I want to know is how to split a large rar/zip file into smaller rar or zip files using winrar, so that when I extract the smaller rar or zip files I will get back the original rar/zip file.
Note: And yes I searched google for how to split rar/zip file into smaller rar/zip files and watched tons of videos about it, but it only shows how to split other types of files into smaller rar or zip files and not how I can split a rar/zip file into further rar/zip files.

Open Winrar..Hilight the file you want to split to a smaller rars…Then go on the add icon on the top..
The bottom option: Split to volume, size…Type the size you want the parts to be…

And how am I supposed to highlight the rar file that I want to split to smaller rar files?

Open the folder in Winrar which contains your file ….Best to open the whole folder, not just the archive itself..
Then just click on the file to highlight it…..Then click on “Add”.
As said, set the size of the files you want, and Also give the new archives a NEW name.
(or it will get confused, because you are starting with and ending with rar file(s) )
Then you should be good to ‘OK’ it

Good to hear.
Never used it myself though, I use 7zip.
