How do i replace my Computer’s Battery?

*Cut the Long Story*
What i need help with is, where in UK can i take my Base Unit to get a Battery Replaced? Will i be charged? Will shops like Comet, Currys or PC World do it for me?
And, will they check my stuff inside my Computer? ( I have Pr0n )

It’s very easy to replace the battery yourself…On the motherboard..it looks like a 5P coin..You can’t miss it..Just a small metal clip..You push it to the side and the battery will pop out…

Are you talking about CMOS battery on the motheboard? You can very easily do that yourself. What is your computer? Desktop or laptop?

If its just the bios battery, take it out and show it to a store such as radioshack.
Plug the new one in. Are you sure your clock is messed up?

Yh i think its CMOS Battery, well its a battery which Time & Date run on, if Time & Resets, what battery is that?
I dont know my Computer’s Model, but here a pic of how it looks like…

The problem is that, my Time & Date Resets everytime i Log On, im sure thats a Battery Issue.

Yep highly likely. The battery is the same for every computer, as its a standard. A little button one, I just forgot the model.
Take it out with your finger nail and show it to a guy or compare it yourself.

keep in mind that when u replace CMOS battrey, the setup will reset..

They won’t give a crap if you have pr0n They might have a few laughs, that’s all. Unless it’s something sick and illegal. But regular pr0n is just fine
I’m an admin at work, and once I had to change one guy’s WORK PC! to another one becuase the old one had soem hardware failure. Well, he didn’t take out his stuff from it, and check this, hehe, he had a folder with liek 60 GB of pr0n movies I say again, it was the office PC
I didn’t say anything to him, hehe.
