Answer #1
Windows 9 doesn’t exist. What do you mean by simpler? You can install StartIsBack.
Answer #2
Windows 9? Either 8 or 10
Install Class Shell and you can get whichever one it is to pretty much look and act like windows 7.
Best of all, it’s free

The first difference is that classic shell is free, whereas startisback you have to buy (or use a cracked version).
Class Shell goes beyond just the start menu button, and brings back the the win7-like file explorer (when you open a folder, it opens in file explorer).
At the end though, it really is personal preference.

What are you talking about?
Answer #7
I guessed the new (and horrible) tiles.
Answer #8
Yes , Classic Shell is free and very easy to install….Just install the “Classic Menu” part.
I have used it with Windows 10 and there are no horrible tiles to be seen, while using it …
Not sure about Windows 9, but it makes Windows 10 (and 8 ) livable and on it’s way to being what 7 is like

Answer #9
As others have said, Classic Shell is boss, the best Start Button alternative you will find.
Windows 9 was the original name for Windows 8 I think, then Microsoft decided not to use it (I forget the reason why but it was logical).
Microsoft support for Windows 8 ends today I think, so upgrade the OS if you can …… Windows 10 is great and even works on ancient hardware like mine (10/15 years old).
Answer #10
Windows 9 couldn’t be used as there was some sort of conflict with windows 9x (etc) when it came to updates and the like.
Answer #11
cheers for all the replies. i just assumed or guessed it was windows 9 as my laptop is windows 7 tied classic shell and it is a really good job
