how can i get a password on the windows loggin screen?

please can you tell me of a way to get passed the screen that comes up when you have just restarted/switched on your computer (where it asks you for a username and password).
well i need a way to get passed this bit if you know of a way please can you let me know and if you want you could be really helpful and try get me a link for this program if one is needed, but i dont need that.

how about the User Account panel? you can set the password there. after setting the password go to start and log off. then restart your comp and see if it asks for a pass

What do you mean? Do you want to login automatically to your account? If so get TweakUI (not available for Vista) which is available here:
http://www.annoyances.org/exec/show/tweakui
Then just open it, go to Logon–>Autologon. There enter your account name and password and have it automatically log into your account every time. If that’s not what you wanted then please explain it better. Good luck mate ^_^

There is an old techy trick to bypass the password, when you are booting up right after the BIOS screen hold F5 for safemode and it use to bypass the password unless they had used the profile Administrator, most people only use a user account with Admin rights not the Admin. So they may forget to go under Administrator and set the password. You could try that, or just use crack the password with BackTrack
