Help with premiere pro

April 28th, 2014

Ok so I am trying to edit this clip, however when I try to open up a project and try to play it in the preview, it ends up being a still image…and when I export it, it plays faster than the original clip. At first I thought it may have to do with the framerate…but I found that wasn’t the case after messing around with it for a while. Does anyone know what’s wrong?
Answer #1
One thing you can try is right-clicking on the clip in the timeline, choosing “Speed/Duration,” and then slowing it down.
Answer #2
yea tried that and it endsu p cutting off some parts of the clip…
Answer #3
Try outputting it to a different format. Also, give us the format of the clip you imported, along with the version of Premiere and your system specs.
Answer #4
Framerate: 29.97 fps
800×450
48 kHz
16 bit Stereo
Using CS4 pro
System specs:
900 @2.2GHz Celeron
3Gb ram
Intel gfx card.
Answer #5
ok. It’s possible that you don’t have the right codec for that format installed on your system. What codec is the format you’re importing and exporting? It could also be that Premiere is having trouble playing back the clip in the preview window because the CPU isn’t up to the job.
Answer #6
im not sure, i use cccpack codecs for my videos
Answer #7
Premiere is a bit picky with endoded videos. You might have better luck if you convert it to something else first, like MP4.
Answer #8
i think you should try CS5 or CS5.5. I had a lot of bugs workin on CS4 and they all desapiered in newer version of soft.
