help with pc and tv monitor

Hi there, i have recently gotten myself some cables to connect my PC to my flatscreen HDTV and it works fine if u want to use my PC on my TV.. but how do i get the TV to show on my PC monitor? for if i want to record me play xbox360 or something on my computer? i hope someone can help me

u need a tv capture card for that. U can find them for cheap nowadays. $/�/� 10~20 But if u want tv capture cards to record HD content, theyll be more expensive for sure

so its not possible in any way at all for me to see my tv on my computer with my cables? the guy at the store said it would work
