Gateway Computer Help

I got a old gateway with a seagate 40GB hard drive. and i cant do autorun from any CD’s it says something about “Media error” or something near that. if i put the hard drive in my dell (it auto runs and installs xp) can i just put the hard drive in the gateway. and will it work????

Try it and see ……….. If it boots up then the only problem might be drivers for graphics card etc.

yea it worked. now, i deleted the partition. i had 8GB of pictures and word doc’s on there. HOW can i get them back???? OMFG.
