i have a Nokia E71 on 3 network. now do they charge for internet access even if i use wi-fi or is the wi-fi free.

Wi-Fi is usually free, for instance if you went into McDonalds and used their Wi-Fi it would be fine. Some companies charge to connect to their Wi-Fi but you have to sign up with them first.
