Is the “xbox controller” designed for the PC?
If so, you should be able to bind the buttons to what ever keys you want, right?
PS: I don’t use consoles or game controllers, but I have used game pads, and they are 100% programmable.

Check the game in Steam store, if it supports controllers, it should be listed.

The wired Xbox 360 controller is compatible with windows (XP and higher). Just plug and play.
